Congratulations to Marissa Allison! Her paper on the 1979 Siege of Mecca, a work based upon her History 485 senior thesis, just placed second in the Virginia Social Science Association’s undergraduate paper award competition. The VSSA, the oldest association of academic disciplines in Virgina, brings a broad and rich collection of research papers together for competitive consideration each year.
