2009 Writing Intensive Program Writing Contest Winners!

Two of our majors, Debbi Shephard in American Studies, and Patricia Greene, in History, won the Writing Contest this year.  Ms. Shepherd won the Natural & Social Sciences–Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Award for her paper “In Their Image: The Eugenics Movement and America’s Identity Crisis,” which she wrote in AMST 202.  Ms. Greene won the Natural & Social Sciences–Senior Award for her HIST 485 paper entitled, “The Adbulhamid II Photo Collection: Orientalism and Public Image at the End of an Empire.”
